Our Take on Z-Shade Fold Up Canopy
With the amount of time we spend outdoors, we were looking for something that could act as a traveling “shelter” for our trips. The Z-Shade Fold Up Canopy seemed to provide the perfect solution to our needs – it is portable, lightweight, easy to travel with and easy to set up. When the Z-Shade Fold Up Canopy arrived, we decided to take it down to the local beach and see how it performed. When packing our cart, it was easily stored and did not present any challenges in getting it to its location.
Once we arrived at the beach, we unpacked the portable canopy and quickly skimmed the directions. The canopy was easy enough to set up, but there was some difficulty getting the angled legs to stake into the sand. Unfortunately, we were unable to stake the canopy into the sand well enough and it did tip over when a large gust of wind came across the beach. Fortunately, someone else using a beach canopy saw us and provided a very useful tip. We re-anchored the legs and this time used filled gallon jugs of water as anchors. From this point on, we had no more problems (you could also use weights, rocks, or something of the sort).
When we were ready to go home, the canopy came down quick and the sand brushed off easily from the canopy top as well as the powder-coated steel legs. It packed back up into the roller bag quiet well and was easy to get back home. Overall, the Z-Shade Fold Up Portable Canopy Tent will be a great addition to our outdoor travel gear and is great for any outdoor activities. Just remember to anchor down those legs if you are going to be in windy areas.
