Lemons or lemon juice is something that most of us have on hand in the kitchen or is readily available at the grocery store. This product has quite a few uses throughout the home, aside from adding some zing to beverages. Incorporate some of these tips and you will see great results, at a fraction of the cost of other treatments.
You will need:
- Lemon juice
- Black salt
- Rose water
- Tea bag
- Cotton balls
Step 1: Hiccup cure. Combine two teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and some black salt crystals and drink.
Step 2: Asthma relief. Add some lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey to a cup of warm water. Drink this while warm both first thing in the morning and at night before bedtime and it will clear your congestion. You can also drink it throughout the day to increase vitamin C intake.
Step 3: Acne treatment. Mix lemon juice and rose water in equal amounts in a bowl. Dip a cotton ball in this mixture and apply it to pimples. The lemon juice may cause it to initially burn. Keep the solution on for 30 minutes, then rinse off using warm water. Do not expose skin to direct sunlight when the solution is on it. Do not continue use if irritation develops.
Step 4: Cold relief. Make a cup of hot tea and add one or two teaspoons of lemon juice. Add honey if desired. Drink one cup in the morning and one cup at night.
Step 5: Age spot lightening. Rub lemon juice or a lemon directly on age spots. It can be washed off after 30 minutes or kept on all day. To improve effectiveness, add either one teaspoon of sugar or a small amount of horseradish. If skin experiences sensitivity to citrus, do not use.
