For a Bananas Foster Milkshake, you will need:
• 10 ounces vanilla ice cream
• 1 overly ripe banana, peeled, cut in chunks
• ¼ cup caramel sauce and more for garnishing
• 1/3 cup whole milk
• 1 tablespoon dark rum (optional)
• Pinch of ground cinnamon
• Banana slices, for garnishing
• Whipped cream, for garnishing
Step 1: Combine the milk, banana, cinnamon, caramel sauce, and optional rum in the blender and blend until mixture is smooth.
Step 2: Add ice cream and then blend until it is incorporated.
Step 3: Pour milkshake into a tall glass. Garnish with a whipped cream dollop, a few banana slices, and some drizzles of caramel sauce.
For a Roasted Pineapple Milkshake, you will need:
• ½ pineapple, cored and quartered
• 1 cup ice
• ½ cup pineapple juice
• 1/3 pint vanilla ice cream
• 1/3 pint lemon sorbet
• Canola oil
• Club soda, to taste
• Aluminum foil
• Basting brush
Step 1: Heat grill to high heat. Use the basting brush to cover the pineapple pieces with oil. Place the pineapple on the aluminum foil. Put foil on the grill rack and grill the pineapple until it is golden brown on each side. Allow pineapple to cool.
Step 2: Put the ice into the blender. Add the pineapple juice, grilled pineapple, ice cream, and sorbet. Pulse until mixture is creamy and smooth.
Step 3: Pour milkshakes into tall glasses. Top each shake with a splash of the club soda.
