Baby food helps your little one grow up healthy, but wow, it can be very expensive! Developing babies can gobble down quite a bit of baby food, causing your grocery bill to soar! In addition, you never know if the child will like a flavor until you buy it. If the baby dislikes the food, it goes in the trash, wasting money. Making your own baby food puts money in your wallet and puts a smile on your baby’s face.
For pureed sweet potato baby food, you will need:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Scrub the sweet potato with the vegetable scrubber. Use the fork to prick the potato several times.
Step 3: Put the sweet potato into the baking dish and bake in the oven for approximately 45 minutes, depending on size, until the potato feels soft.
Step 4: Use the knife to split the sweet potato. Scrape out the flesh, using the spoon. Lightly mash the flesh with the fork. This provides about three to four servings for an infant.
