Our Take on FrogTape Multi-Surface Painting Tape
When we purchased our new home, our daughter asked for dark and light pink stripes to be painted in her room. In order to pull off this painting project with few mistakes, we looked for a painter’s tape that would offer crisp lines. FrogTape Multi-Surface Painting Tape claimed to be able to offer us just that with PaintBlock technology, which would also cut down on the time we needed to do touch-ups. Based on the many consumer reviews, we decided to give FrogTape a try for this painting project.
When the FrogTape Multi-Surface Painting Tape arrived, we were impressed with how well it stuck to the walls. The only issue we noticed with the adhesion was that it did not stick well to textured surfaces, such as the popcorn ceiling in the room. After taping out the stripes and painting the first color pink on the wall, we allowed it to dry for a full 24 before removing the tape. When we did, we were surprised and very pleased that the FrogTape did seal out any bleeding paint and gave use very clean lines.
We then allowed the paint to dry an additional 24 hours before reapplying the tape to paint the second color. This time, after painting the color and allowing to dry for a full 24 hours, the FrogTape did pull up some of the original color, but not enough to be noticeable or make a huge difference. We would suggest allowing paint to cure for between 2 weeks and 1 month before using the FrogTape again.
Overall, the FrogTape Multi-Surface Painting Tape is a very impressive product and is a great asset to those looking to do creative painting projects such as colored stripes in a room. The FrogTape does prevent bleeding for the first color application but it is important to keep in mind that painted walls will need to be fully cured before using the tape again. We would recommend FrogTape Multi-Surface Painting Tape to anyone looking for a reliable painter’s tape that gives clean, crisp edges.
