Our Take on First Alert CO400 Carbon Monoxide Alarm
When we moved into our new home, we decided to add carbon monoxide alarms along with our usual smoke detectors. With the potential health dangers that carbon monoxide presents, without having an odor or color, it was important to use to make sure that our family was safe. We did an immense amount of research on different carbon monoxide alarms and found that the First Alert CO400 Carbon Monoxide Alarm was the only one to offer top of the line technology with a very accurate sensor.
We ordered two First Alert CO400 Carbon Monoxide Alarms for our home and when they arrived we immediately began installing them. While mounting the alarms in the home was easy enough, installing the batteries in the units was the issue. Working the battery into its setting was difficult and the battery cover design did not help the process. But, once we were able to get the batteries in, the cover closed properly and we determined the units worked properly by using the test button.
A few months after installing the First Alert CO400 Carbon Monoxide Alarms, we noticed a beeping sound and the unit blinking a light. Upon reviewing the instructions, we realized that the alarm was indicating the battery life was low. After wrestling the old battery out and a new one back in, the unit was remounted and functioning properly. Overall, the First Alert CO400 Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a great product and should be a staple in every home in order to keep loved ones safe from CO poisoning.
